Account Cancellation Information

Your account is closed immediately

Once an account cancellation request is submitted, your BAW-D account is disabled and you will no longer be able to sign in or access your workspace.

Account cancellation should be treated as permanent. Do not submit a cancellation request if you only want to stop using BAW-D temporarily.

What happens when you cancel?

Your account is disabled immediately.
You can no longer sign in or access your BAW-D workspace.
Business Ideas, Brain Storms, and other content that you own or control may be unpublished and removed from active use.
Content owned or controlled by another user will not be deleted or unpublished simply because you were a collaborator.
Your account enters BAW-D's final deletion review process.

Final deletion within 60 days

BAW-D will review cancelled accounts and permanently delete applicable account data and user-owned content within 60 days of the cancellation request.

The review period allows BAW-D to:

Verify account ownership and content relationships.
Prevent accidental removal of another user's or organization's data.
Address security, fraud, abuse, or misuse concerns.
Preserve information when retention is required for a legitimate legal or investigative purpose.

Shared and collaborative work

Cancelling your account does not automatically delete content owned by another person, business, or organization.

If you are a collaborator on another user's Business Idea or workspace, that content remains with its owner. Your access ends when your account is closed.

BAW-D will only remove or unpublish content that you own or are authorized to control as part of the cancellation process.

Partner agency accounts

If your BAW-D account is provided, sponsored, or managed through a partner agency or organization, the agency must initiate or authorize the account cancellation process.

Contact your partner agency directly to request cancellation of an agency-managed account.

Limited records may be retained

Some limited records may be retained when necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect the rights or security of BAW-D or others, investigate fraud or misuse, resolve disputes, or enforce applicable agreements.

Information retained for these purposes is limited to what is reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.

Before cancelling your account

Download or save any information you want to keep before submitting an account cancellation request. Once final deletion has been completed, deleted account data and user-owned content may no longer be recoverable.
